Create an exceptional experience for all our café guests. Your day‑to‑day will involve crafting quality beverages, running the register, restocking merch, and clearing tables. RESPONSIBILITIES
Offer outstanding customer service with a strong focus on prioritizing the guest experience through connection, hospitality, and great coffee. Prepare and serve high‑quality coffee and espresso beverages to café standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and speed. Run food and drinks to tables when needed, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and efficiently.Support smooth café operations by clearing tables, stocking the food display, and assisting customers as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including washing dishes, keeping tools and ingredients clean and organized, and managing garbage and recycling. Restock fridges, syrups, merchandise, the condiment bar, grab‑and‑go fridge, and other supplies as needed.Anticipate café and guest needs by staying aware of your surroundings and responding to customer requests or questions. Participate in ongoing training and taste testing to build product knowledge and continuously develop barista skills. Keep all workspaces clean and organized, including both indoor café areas and the patio, and communicate proactively when supplies are running low.Follow Kicking Horse Coffee’s operational procedures for food handling, cash handling, beverage preparation, and safety. QUALIFICATIONS
MUST HAVES
Previous food and beverage experience (café, restaurant, or similar workplace). Love for coffee. If you aren’t keen to make a mean cup of joe or learn about all things coffee, this may not be for you. Love for people. You create real connections with people. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to keep pace in a quick‑moving, team‑focused environment.Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. ASSETS
Food Safe Level1 or2 certification. Coffee education, including latte art, brewing methods, espresso calibrations, and knowledge of flavour profiles. Point of sale systems and cash handling experience. SCHEDULING&WAGE
This is an on‑site position located in Invermere, BC. Thecafé operates seven days a week in the summer and five days a week outside the summer months. Scheduling requirements include weekends and statutory holidays. We currently have permanent positions available, offering full‑time hours. The wage for thisrole ranges from $19.00 to$23.64 per hour, depending on experience, and is eligible for tips.PERKS
