Water Treatment Operator Class I Position, Belle River

Join the Municipality of Lakeshore as a Class I Water Treatment Operator. Responsible for the municipal water treatment system, you'll conduct inspections and ensure compliance with health standards.

Reporting directly to the Supervisor - Water Treatment, this role requires a Class I license and prior water treatment plant experience. You will utilize technical math, conduct water sampling, and maintain compliance with the Drinking Water Quality Management Standards. Your contributions will impact the safety and quality of water services for the community.

Key Responsibilities:• Conduct inspections of controls and related equipment • Monitor facility processes using SCADA systems • Ensure compliance through sampling and analysis • Maintain logs of equipment performance and incidents • Assist with inventory and participate in various special projects

Requirements:• Grade 12 or GED with Environmental Technician completion • Class I Water Treatment license required • 12 months of relevant plant experience • Proficiency in computer applications • Valid Ontario G level driver’s license
