Position Title: Sales Representative

McCain Fertilizer, a Division of McCain Produce Inc, is a leading distributor of crop inputs, including blended fertilizer, crop protection products and other related inputs, with multiple locations in Atlantic Canada and the State of Maine. We are seeking a results-oriented team player to join us as a Sales Representative in our Middleton, PEI Territory.The Sales Representative focuses on strategically managing and growing the fresh potato category in North America, with responsibilities for maintaining relationships with existing customers and attracting new partners to expand market presence. What you’ll be doing
Sales Management:
Oversee sales of table potatoes in North America, aiming to maximize volume and profitability to meet budget targets. Key Account Management:
Manage defined key accounts, developing and executing plans to drive growth and profitability. Supply Chain Oversight:
Handle sourcing of raw materials, order processing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery. Business Development:
Lead initiatives to expand the customer base, increase sales volume, and improve business quality. Performance Analysis:
Develop and maintain reports to analyze business performance. Innovation:
Help evaluate and commercialize new potato varieties to capitalize on emerging market opportunities. What you’ll need to be successful
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong preference for experience managing mid- to large-sized key accounts. Proven success in growing market share in highly competitive markets. Track record of proactively developing recent markets and business opportunities. Experience in the potato industry or agriculture sector is an asset.Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to create and deliver compelling sales presentations. Familiarity with transportation networks is an asset. Strong action orientation and execution skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills. Comfortable working in a small, multi-functional team.Valid driver’s license required. Travel
