Campbell River Supported Child Development Role

Enhance inclusive childcare as a Supported Child Development Consultant with Rivercity Inclusion Society in Campbell River, BC. Play a key role in supporting children with developmental disabilities.

In this position, you will engage with children aged birth to 12 years, helping integrate them into family-chosen inclusive childcare settings. Your expertise will facilitate early intervention strategies and utilize community resources for enhanced support. The schedule is primarily Tuesday to Friday, with some flexibility concerning client needs.

Key Responsibilities:• Support children’s inclusion in community child care programs • Develop individualized support strategies with families • Conduct formal and informal assessments of children's development • Provide training and resources for community caregivers • Collaborate with local services for additional child support

Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related area • Minimum of 3 years in inclusive child care settings • First Aid Certification and valid Class 5 driver’s license • Consent for background checks and negative TB test required • Strong communication and organizational abilities
