Senior Accountant, Campbell River

Support all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including billing, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close activities. Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, working papers, and account reconciliations, including complex or non-routine entries, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and perform expense analysis to support management decision-making. Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies, internal controls, and other financial reporting processes in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.Ensure timely and accurate compliance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements and other regulatory obligations. Collaborate with Finance colleagues and external accountants or auditors on special projects, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Provide guidance and share knowledge with colleagues, supporting team capability and efficiency initiatives.Required Skills and Qualifications:

CPA designation is a strong asset; Bachelor’s degree or business administration certificate in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required. Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, cost accounting, or public practice, including hands‑on financial statement preparation or audit.Thorough knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE and/or IFRS). Strong financial analysis capabilities and problem‑solving skills. Experience with accounting software and intermediate‑to‑advanced computer skills, including MS Office and Excel. Ability to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build relationships with project and company stakeholders. Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and adaptable, demonstrating resiliency in response to changing work demands. Attention to detail and commitment to performing work with a high degree of accuracy.High degree of professionalism, proactive mindset, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
