Operator (Admix) - Day Shift, Cambridge

Position Overview

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Admixture Operator is responsible for various tasks to maintain an efficient plant including production and batching of Sika’s liquid admixture products, testing and wastewater, performing quality control of the products, preparing, loading and shipping products, planning and coordinating product orders and general housekeeping tasks.Responsibilities

Producing Sika liquid admixture products by following Sika’s procedures and formulas Batching by adding material into the mixer and mixing the material according to Sika’s specified processes and keeping accurate records Washing and loading tanker trucks in preparation for shipping bulk ordersComplete accurate trip sheet records Adapt/react to customer demands/needs as required Prepare and accurately label pails, drums or totes for shipping of non-bulk orders Testing samples for quality control purposes according to Sika’s procedures and entering the data into SAP Communicating any non-conformances to Group Leader or Production SupervisorProperly labelling and storing product samples Performing and recording required equipment calibrations Safe operation of forklift and other plant equipment Work safely at all times, adhering to all company safety policies (PPE, lock-out, confined space, safe lifting practices, etc.) Creating and closing process ordersParticipate in production planning for the department Ordering of raw materials required for production Completing preventative maintenance inspections based on a predetermined schedule (daily, monthly and annually) Testing PH levels of wastewater and record results Housekeeping duties including cleaning daily, disposal of plant waste and recycling, and cleaning between producing productsAssist Group Leader and/or Production Supervisor as required Additional duties as assigned
