The Opportunity
Permanent Full-Time Replacement Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Engineering, this role is responsible for the delivery of transportation planning projects including master plans and transportation studies in support of the Town’s Official Plan and secondary plans. It also leads and manages Municipal Class Environmental Assessments (EAs), feasibility studies, and preliminary designs for transportation infrastructure projects. The role reviews third‑party transportation plans and studies to ensure alignment with Town policies, standards, and future growth needs.Responsibilities
Lead and project manage transportation master plans, environmental assessments, feasibility studies, and operational analysis Plan, organize, and facilitate public consultation and engagement activities including public information centres (PICs) Provide input and guidance on long‑range planning initiatives such as the Official Plan, secondary plans, and development applicationsReview transportation‑related studies and technical reports from developers and agencies to ensure compliance and integration with Town policies Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to advance transportation projects and initiativesQualifications
Motivated and detail‑oriented professional with a post‑secondary degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning/Engineering, Urban or Regional Planning or a closely related field. The ideal candidate has 5 to 7 years of progressive transportation planning and infrastructure experience and is licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or holds a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.Demonstrated knowledge of transportation planning principles, environmental assessments, and municipal development processes. Superior organizational and project management skills, ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, and excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.Work Conditions
Required to work an adaptable schedule, including in the office, remotely, and after hours as required. Compensation
Salary range of $106,444.72 to $133,055.90 plus a competitive benefit package. Eligibility
