Position Description–

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Administrator The CAD Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring Canadensys’ design projects are successfully executed from start to finish. Are you a driven individual with a strong technical aptitude to ensure the CAD environment runs smoothly, supports design teams, and adheres to company standards. Are you adept at and do you enjoy working with teams, solving problems, installing software, managing and supporting users, performing system maintenance and providing technical support?In this role, the CAD Administrator will be responsible for ensuring all CAD tools, training and processes are maintained and updated as necessary to provide our team of engineers with the CAD tools required to bring our designs to life. Responsibilities: Installing, configuring, and maintaining CAD software and related tools.Managing user accounts, permissions, and access to CAD systems. Ensuring the CAD environment is secure and reliable. Managing CAD databases, including backups and data replication. Integrating CAD systems with other business platforms like ERP or PLM systems. Installing, configuring, and maintaining CAD software and related tools.Monitoring system usage and performance, identifying areas for improvement. Developing and implementing automation tools, such as scripts and macros, to enhance efficiency. Working with IT to maintain and upgrade CAD server infrastructure. Communicate CAD system reports, updates, and issues to senior management.Special projects and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technologist, or a related field. Relevant experience in CAD administration; preferably a minimum of 3 years. Strong understanding of CAD software (e.g. Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).High degree of familiarity with SolidWorks required Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to CAD systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for providing support and training. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate records. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals.Additional Information Equal Employment Opportunity.
