Senior Heavy Equipment Operator (Caledon), Dufferin County (Shelburne)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Heavy Equipment Operator to lead by example on our job sites. The successful candidate will be an experienced operator who can handle complex excavation and grading tasks, support junior operators and labourers, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and skilled work environment.Key Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate excavators, dozers, loaders, rock trucks, skid steers, and other site equipment. Perform complex excavation, trenching, backfilling, and rough/fine grading to tight tolerances. Work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including site preparation and earthworks, site servicing support.Conduct thorough daily equipment inspections and promptly report issues. Assist with layout and grades as directed by the Foreman or Site Supervisor. Support and mentor less experienced operators and labourers. Coordinate with truck drivers and ground crews to meet project schedules. Strictly follow OHSA, MOL regulations, and company health&safety policies. Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil construction or site services. High proficiency with excavators and Dozer at least one other key machine (loader, skid steer, etc.). Ability to read grades, follow site plans, and work with minimal supervision. Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation to sites across the GTA.Relevant operator tickets/certifications; current safety training (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights) is an asset. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude. Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. What We Offer
