Municipal Law Enforcement Officer in Caledon, Dufferin County (Shelburne)

Become a crucial part of Caledon's community as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer. This role focuses on by-law enforcement and public education in a dynamic, diverse environment.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Municipal Law Enforcement, this position involves enforcing zoning, property standards, and various municipal regulations. The ideal candidate must possess a post-secondary education in criminal justice or related fields and have at least three years of municipal law enforcement experience. You will work collaboratively with various agencies and provide education to the public.

Key Responsibilities:• Conduct property investigations for by-law compliance • Prepare and enter reports in AMANDA system • Issue notices of violation for non-compliance • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding by-law issues • Supervise remedial enforcement actions by contractors

Requirements:• Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field • Minimum three years of municipal law enforcement experience • OAPSO or MLEOA certification preferred • Knowledge of provincial legislation and by-laws • Strong report writing and investigation skills
