Development Planner at Town of Caledon, Dufferin County (Shelburne)

Elevate community planning as a Development Planner with the Town of Caledon, focusing on various development applications and ensuring compliance with local policies. This role blends remote work with on-site inspections

Reporting to the Manager of Development&Design, you will manage applications for zoning changes, site plans, and telecommunication permits while providing expert advisory. You will liaise with applicants, stakeholders, and Council, leading meetings and conducting thorough site inspections to assess compliance and development suitability.

Key Responsibilities:• Oversee multiple types of development applications • Lead project management efforts in planning • Engage regularly with agencies and applicants • Chair meetings to update stakeholders on projects • Inspect sites for compliance with legal requirements

Requirements:• Degree in Planning or a closely related field • At least one year of land use planning experience • Membership in planning institutes is a plus • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Flexible work schedule and ability to manage sensitive information
