Part-Time Teaching Assistant Interior Design, Burnaby

Support BCIT's Interior Design Department as a Part-Time Teaching Assistant. Engage with students and assist instructors in delivering Flexible Learning courses each term.

We are recruiting temporary, part-time Teaching Assistants at BCIT for our Interior Design Flexible Learning Programs. Candidates should have a relevant diploma or degree with at least three years of experience in the residential design field. Your role will involve collaboration with instructors during classes, assisting student learning, and evaluating performance through assignments and exams.

Key Responsibilities:• Attend all classes, whether online or in person • Collaborate with course instructors effectively • Aid instructors during class activities and student interactions • Evaluate student performances through assignments and exams • Meet collaboratively with instructors to discuss marking criteria

Requirements:• Diploma or degree in Interior Design • Three years of relevant teaching or related experience • Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCad and Photoshop • Strong communication and organizational abilities • Flexible schedule for class commitments
