CareRx is looking for a
Pharmacy Assistant Production Lead
to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Position Overview The Pharmacy Assistant Lead will be reporting to the Operations Manager. The position is responsible for technical and workflow functions concerning the Pacmed department, specifically, training of new pharmacy assistants, troubleshooting staff inquiries, investigating incidents in the Pacmed department and meeting daily operational objectives. They are also responsible for projects and pharmacy initiatives in the department as delegated by the pharmacy management team.
Role Accountabilities
Performs operational duties to support the overall Pacmed department objectives
Lead and carry out Pacmed activities
Troubleshoots and resolves staff inquiries about the workflow
Leads training of new pharmacy assistants, and provides work related feedback to existing staff members in a timely manner
Reviews the daily workflow throughout the day and reports delays to the Manager on duty
Investigate incidents as it pertains to the Pacmed department, as assigned by the pharmacy manager
Proactively provides solutions to resolve issues in the department
Complete filing requirements in accordance with the College regulations
Provides timely updates and reports concerns to the Pharmacy ManagerWork in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager and Operations Manager to implement corporate initiatives relating to Pacmed workflow efficiency
Maintain customer service expectations in a timely manner, knowing when to involve their direct manager
Perform other duties as assigned to support CareRx
New Home set up on PacMed
Work with Mckesson for maintenance and repairs
Work with inventory Specialist on stock, drug subs and new generics for PacMed
Audit canister counts, expiry dates and drug costs in PacMed Core
Prepare all PacMeds for inventory and participate in all inventory counts

Ability to build and maintain strong team relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize work demands
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Ability to manage workflow and priorities in order to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information as per organizational policy
Strong customer service skills preferred
Minimum one year of pharmacy experience
Experience with medication packaging machines required
Experience with Kroll system an asset
Experience with MS Office, such as Outlook and Smartsheet, an asset
Compensation Range:
$2 Lead Premium– Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location:
This is an on‑site role at our 8525‑8501 Commerce Crt, Burnaby V5A4N3
Work Shifts:
5 days a week, working on Saturday and Sunday as a Production Lead
