Senior Mechanical Designer - Mining Sector, Burlington

Excel in a leadership role as a Senior Mechanical Layout Designer at Ausenco, focusing on mineral processing projects. Your design expertise will be vital in our Toronto, Burlington, or Calgary offices.

This role requires candidates experienced in the mining sector with a solid foundation in mechanical layouts. You will be responsible for developing both 2D and 3D layout designs while ensuring adherence to project design standards. Lead a team of designers, manage budgets, and uphold the integrity of layouts across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and manage mechanical layout designs • Create detailed design drawings and deliverables • Control layout budgets and track hours • Coordinate across disciplines during project development • Comply with all corporate policies and design regulations

Requirements:• Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent • Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience • Proficient in Autodesk software, 3D modeling a plus • Familiar with mining commodities, specifically Gold and Copper • Strong detail orientation and ability to work independently
