This role sits within Northpoint Commercial Finance, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank. Northpoint provides expert, flexible and personal inventory and equipment financing solutions to manufacturers, dealers and end‑users across the U.S. and Canada.
Responsible for processing new dealer application packages, preparing and securing associated legal documentation and maintaining customer account information in various systems/databases. Frequent interaction with all NP employees, in particular, sales, underwriting and operations.
Responsibilities
Organize new application packages submitted by sales and prepare for submission to underwriting. (credit bureaus, financial statement organization;
Prepare approved dealer legal documentation, manage PPSA/Hypotheque, CSC filings, search and notification process. Track and monitor to ensure all conditions of approval (pre and post funding) are satisfied;
Communicate effectively with sales, underwriting and operations staff to facilitate a smooth and efficient new dealer boarding process, as well a maintenance of existing dealer files.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Law clerk or similar designation, with direct equivalent business experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents in both English and French. Ability to draft customer facing emails and correspondence on a regular basis. Ability to communicate effectively by phone with counterparts at lending institutions as well as law firms.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office required, specifically Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
