Shape heritage and resource development as a Senior Archaeologist in Northern Ontario. Provide expertise to protect cultural landscapes and foster strong partnerships with local communities in this pivotal role.
As a Senior Archaeologist, you will lead comprehensive assessments that respect Indigenous histories and cultural landscapes across Northern Ontario. This position requires over ten years of consulting experience, with significant knowledge of local archaeological practices and standards. You will direct diverse project teams, influencing sustainable development and community outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:• Lead assessments as per regulatory and safety standards • Manage archaeological project scope, timelines, and deliverables • Provide leadership in health and safety for teams • Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing • Engage respectfully with Indigenous communities and clients
Requirements:• Professional license in good standing with the MCM • At least 10 years of relevant consulting experience • In-depth knowledge of Ontario’s archaeological standards • Proven leadership in managing complex projects • Valid driver’s license compliant with local policies
