As a Maintenance Management Trainee (MMT) at our Penske Stockton branch, you’ll be immersed in our fleet management and maintenance processes. You will receive focused and accelerated hands‑on training to provide you with critical job skills, including vehicle componentry and maintenance technology. After completion, you will ultimately become a successful Maintenance Leader within our organization.We offer a dynamic, on‑the‑job learning experience with seven rotations over nine to twelve months, covering service department management, effective leadership, and customer engagement. You’re trusted to work independently while learning from mentors, gaining knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes and advancedtechnology.

Partner with your manager to learn new skills.
Shadow and actively participate in all seven rotations: Introduction to Penske and Operations, Customer Service, Technology Management, Rental, Technician Experience, Parts Management, Service Department Management.

Qualifications
Ability and desire to work in a positive, fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
1–3 years of team management in an environment with strong operational metrics.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Basic mechanical aptitude (preferred).
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills required.
Self‑starter who takes responsibility and achieves results.
Adaptable quick learner with the ability to pick up company systems and processes.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL.
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and web‑based applications (preferred).
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Multiple shift work may be required throughout rotations.
Must understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
Must perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete Penske employment application, background investigation, and drug screening as required.
Physical Requirements
Require frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
Require routine use of hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate tools or controls.
Must work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
Must work safely in all weather conditions.
Must see and hear to navigate the work environment safely amidst frequent movement of large trucks.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
Salary $24.09 per hour– $30.72 per hour
