Responsibilities
Leads end-to-end execution of DOE California Water Utilities and EPC energy/storage projects, managing cross-functional teams (engineering, contractors, permitting, utilities) from development through commissioning and handoff to service.
Serves as primary client interface, overseeing project reporting, documentation (minutes, action logs), and commercial coordination with water utility stakeholders and DOE requirements.
Develops and manages scopes of work, subcontractor agreements, change orders, and project financials, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, accounting, and cost performance.
Oversees project scheduling and execution, maintaining master and short-term schedules, tracking delays, and ensuring delivery aligns with approved specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Provides leadership and direction to project teams and field personnel, promoting safety, operational standards, and effective coordination across subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
Ensures compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and reporting requirements while driving project performance, customer satisfaction, and successful transition to operations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience
7 years of experience as a project manager with P&L responsibility
3+ years of experience as a project manager for complex EPC or Industrial projects (such as water, power, oil&gas, nuclear industries)
Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills
Strong business acumen
Experience managing Federal Grants
Experience with state utility regulators
Demonstrated ability working in a matrixed and global organization
Preferred Requirements
BS/BA in a technical engineering discipline preferred
Experience and knowledge of BESS (Battery Energy Storage) project deployment (design, permitting, utility interconnection, etc.)
Project or Change Management experience
Energy Project Development and Construction experience
Grant Funding Administration experience
