Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview Experience Must have a minimum of 1-2 years recent relevant experience, preferably in a Diagnostic Imaging environment.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Health Care Aide certificate (certified) from a recognized educational institution is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Must have and maintain current BCLS certification.
Qualifications and Skills Ability to work co-operatively and courteously with patients and hospital personnel. Flexibility and independence in planning work and the ability to make priority decisions in carrying out daily activities. Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written.
Physical Requirements General conditions normally found in a Diagnostic Imaging Service in a community hospital. Must be able to withstand extensive amounts of standing, walking, bending and lifting and be able to lift and transfer patients in a safe manner. Will be required to transfer patients to and from wheelchairs, Geri chairs, stretchers, diagnostic imaging tables and patient beds utilizing safe transfer techniques.May be required to work flexible hours and/or overtime as required to meet the needs of the service.
This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
