Part-Time ESL Instructor at UGDSB, Courtice

Become an ESL instructor at UGDSB's St. George’s Centre with a part-time role. This position offers the chance to teach adult learners in a supportive environment, fostering their language skills.

The UGDSB is seeking a temporary ESL/LINC Instructor for the non-credit adult ESL program. This role requires 5 hours and 20 minutes per week, on Monday and Wednesday evenings. A successful candidate will hold TESL Ontario accreditation and possess essential teaching skills, particularly with Portfolio Based Language Assessment.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop and deliver a multi-level task-based curriculum • Manage classroom effectively and support learner engagement • Utilize LINC curriculum and Canadian Language Benchmarks • Maintain organizational and reporting standards • Familiarize with Google Classroom functionalities

Requirements:• TESL Ontario accredited in good standing • Strong knowledge of Canadian Language Benchmarks • Experience with Portfolio Based Language Assessment • Ability to create learner-centered classroom activities • Commitment to learner success and inclusivity
