Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. Responsibilities
Lead and manage project teams in the delivery of multi‑modal transportation projects, including functional and preliminary design studies for roadway and rapid transit corridors. Direct and oversee Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) studies for complex urban infrastructure projects. Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams (includingtransportation, municipal and structural engineers, transportation systems planners, planners, environmental scientists and technical support staff).Manage and deliver stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations. Business Development
Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to grow the Integrated Mobility Discipline in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA). Provide leadership in the maintenance and expansion of existing client relationships in the GTHA, including preparation of proposals and statements of qualification.Develop and implement strategic plans to build a market and enhance Dillon’s presence in the region. Travel to other Dillon offices upon request. Learning&Development
Commit to self‑development and ongoing learning and professional development. Provide input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring. Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.Qualifications
A degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or urban planning. A minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry. Proven leadership, people management, and business development capabilities. Experience
Proven experience leading Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, and functional/preliminary design studies for multi‑modal roadway and rapid transit corridors. Demonstrated abilities in the leadership of large, multi‑disciplinary projects and teams, with a minimum of six years in a project management capacity.Exceptional abilities in project management, including budget, schedule, and quality control. Proven skills in public and agency consultation for complex urban projects. In‑depth understanding of the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA) transportation market and established client relationships.A track record of successful business development, including proposal leadership and a desire to build a market presence. Strong people management and mentorship skills. Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Compensation
$100,000 - $150,000. Dillon will consider education, experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and geographic region, and reserves the right to pay outside the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other protected status. Benefits
