Intermediate Environmental Noise Engineer
for our Air Quality and Environmental Noise Practice in our Guelph, Waterloo, Cambridge, Toronto, Kingston, or Ottawa offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Technical writing (reports, letter, memoranda, work plans, etc.) and complex data analysis, including developing noise inventories, performing environmental noise modelling, and assessing vibration will be a significant component of the overall duties;
Working with a diverse team to support challenging technical projects including task and project management, leading technical assessments, budgeting and budget management, adhering to schedule, ensuring quality, and delivering on client satisfaction;
At times, the job may also include fieldwork primarily focused on site inspections.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in environmental science (including chemistry or biology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
Professional engineer (i.e., P.Eng) or qualified for professional registration in the future
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in an environmental consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education (advanced degree) and experience. (required)
Developing environmental noise inventories (required)
Environmental noise modelling (required)
Vibration monitoring and modelling (preferred)
Effective and clear communication skills (oral and writing) including communication of complex ideas and results. (required)
Experience working on demanding, sophisticated, and potentially legally sensitive projects. (preferred)
Regular fieldwork and overnight travel. (required).
Health&Safety training, medical monitoring, and client‑driven drug and background testing may be required.
Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
Minimum Salary: $86,720 / Maximum Salary: $112,735 (Guelph, Waterloo, Cambridge, ON)
Minimum Salary: $91,055 / Maximum Salary: $118,370 (Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, ON)
