POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Du Verger private seniors' residence, located in St-Jérôme, is looking for a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time position.
We offer stable hours, a healthy work environment, and career opportunities in a rapidly growing company!
Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime hours.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the maintenance manager in his tasks
Construction
Assist residents with any deficiencies related to services provided by the residence
Maintenance and monitoring of equipment (mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, pumps, furnaces, valves, etc.)
Make service calls
Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
Perform minor repairs in apartments and common areas
Preventive maintenance on equipment
Schedule and ensure that preventive maintenance is performed on equipment
Supervise the maintenance of the equipment
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Good team player
Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
A working knowledge of building maintenance (Hvac, electrical, plumbing etc.)
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset)
