Onboard Installation and Field Operations Manager, Toronto

Your future role Take advantage of your expertise in ERTMS and Mainline Signaling On‑Board Site Operations, working on a groundbreaking project to launch the first ERTMS solution in North America. In this role, you will lead planning, execution, and continuous improvement of on‑site installation and testing activities to ensure seamless integration of the complete system withinthe Mainline On‑Board Signaling scope.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage all Mainline Signaling On‑Board Site Operations in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Lead the entire installation design lifecycle from system design through detailed design, industrialization, and implementation.

Ensure integration and installation of the complete system, including test and commissioning activities.

Take end‑to‑end accountability for quality, cost, delivery, and performance for the project scope.

Ensure compliance with EHS policies, local regulations, and professional standards.

Manage and organize site activities, including facilities, resources, access, and tools.

Coordinate procurement and logistics activities for installation and testing equipment.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or a related field.

10+ years’ experience in ERTMS and Mainline Signaling systems; familiarity with rolling stock beneficial.

Knowledge of installation and field operations processes and standards.

Familiarity with managing subcontractors and third‑party interfaces.

A project management certification is a plus.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Compensation The expected compensation for this role is $140,000– $180,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
