Napoleon is a Canadian company operating worldwide, seeking a Production Planner for a 12‑month contract at 24 Napoleon Road, Barrie (hybrid). The role reports to the Production Control Manager. Responsibilities
Firm and release work orders, performing material availability checks Review early/late reports to ensure all open work orders are accurate and current Monitor capacity requirements Communicate daily with Sales, Production Planners, Senior Planners, Team Leaders, Supervisors, Manufacturing Managers and Purchasing regarding parts issues and prioritiesRequest overtime, part production transfers to other facilities or outsourcing as needed to manage bottlenecks Maintain planning information in ERP system Maintain resource calendars in ERP system Coordinate down time recovery plans Monitor production part inventories and make adjustments accordingly. Perform root cause analysis and find solutions for reoccurring parts opportunitiesQualifications&Education
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Production Planning role CPIM – Certified in Production and Inventory Management designation or working towards is considered an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook Knowledge of MRP – Material Requirements Planning and ERP (preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365) systemsArtificial Intelligence Disclosure
