Job Summary
Project Manager, Construction and Infrastructure Standards– Toronto, Canada. This role leads the development of industry‑leading standards, working closely with volunteer committees, industry experts, and government stakeholders to advance safety and sustainability in Canada’s built environment.Responsibilities
Facilitate the development of standards by convening in‑person and virtual committee meetings. Establish and actively manage project scope, processes, schedules, costs, quality, and risk. Day‑to‑day management of committee activities, including preparing and maintaining records such as meeting agendas and minutes, and working with committee members to produce high‑quality documents.Liaise with internal and external partners—including clients, management, legal, and finance—to develop contracts and proposals. Identify, secure, and drive new business opportunities for standardization. Participate in occasional ad‑hoc internal task groups (e.g., business or process improvement, research).Perform any other related responsibilities as required. Qualifications and Skills
Education: Technologist or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related field. Professional designation: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is an asset. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in standards development and/or project management in mechanical and industrial equipment, constructionand civil infrastructure, circular economy, or environment and climate change.Knowledge of the standards industry, government policy, and the industry landscape. Excellent people skills: managing relationships, facilitating, and networking with stakeholders at all levels. Strong negotiation, oral, and written communication skills. Excellent project management, organizational, planning, leadership, and decision‑making skills.Experience writing proposals and business plans. High degree of self‑motivation, resilience, adaptability, and flexibility. Demonstrated ability to be a team player and build capacity of peers. Computer proficiency; proficiency in French is a plus. Travel
Up to 15% travel may be required. Compensation
Typical hiring range: $86,160– $100,000CAD gross annually. Base pay will depend on education, licenses, certifications, and experience. Eligible for annual bonus program subject to eligibility requirements. Equal Opportunity Statement
