Security Installation Technician, Barrie

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician for a full-time.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on technician with experience installing CCTV, alarm, access control, surveillance, and low‑voltage network cabling systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

The Security Installation Technician will work on a variety of projects, including camera systems, IP‑based surveillance equipment, access control hardware, structured cabling, and related security infrastructure. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys technical problem‑solving, working with tools, interacting professionally with customers, and completing clean, high‑quality installations.

Key Responsibilities

Install and configure CCTV surveillance systems, IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and related security equipment.

Run, terminate, label, and test Cat5e and Cat6 cabling for security, surveillance, access control, and network systems.

Install access control systems, door controllers, card readers, cameras, sensors, and networking hardware.

Work safely on ladders, ceilings, walls, exterior locations, and elevated work areas while completing installations.

Troubleshoot connectivity, device configuration, cabling, and system performance issues.

Test completed systems, verify functionality, and communicate with clients regarding basic system operation and troubleshooting.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $47,840 per year, equivalent to $23 per hour.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Direct hire, full‑time employment.
