Manager, Investment Structure Management, Toronto

Role Summary

Report to the Director, ISM as Manager within Investment Structure Management. Provide end-to-end structuring support for CPP Investments’ private investments across Credit, Private Equity, and Real Assets, including entity setup, governance, and management of group companies. Work with teams across finance, operations, legal, tax and external advisors.Responsibilities

Support the Director in pre‑close/structuring and ongoing maintenance of new investments, exits and restructurings. Work with internal partners to identify and address structuring and operational complexities of legal entity structures. Coordinate the establishment of new legal entities and address legal and governance requirements.Support structuring and transaction closing process, track deal timelines, develop plans, maintain meeting minutes and manage pre‑close activities. Build trusted relationships with investing departments to understand asset‑class nuances and enable process improvements. Provide ongoing support to maintain and manage CPP Investments’ structures post‑closing, ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.Prepare quarterly reporting materials to enhance visibility into operational and risk metrics. Apply forward‑thinking approaches, including AI tools, to create synergies and improve processes. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in investment structure management. Partner with internal teams on cross‑functional workstreams and initiatives.Assist in special projects and initiatives aligned with the One Fund Strategy. Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field. 6+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, structuring, consulting, private equity, accounting, transaction execution or related roles. Hands‑on experience designing, improving or executing innovative operational processes or workflows, including change management.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to navigate complex or ambiguous situations with sound judgement. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality outputs. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to build effective relationships across teamsand levels.Self‑starter with a solutions‑oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities. Highly collaborative, flexible and constantly seeks innovation. Professional designation such as CFA, CPA or CBV is preferred. Experience with mergers and acquisitions operations is preferred.
