Specialist, HR Operations&Systems - 12 Month Contract, Toronto

Summary This 12-month contract role focuses on maintaining and optimizing HR processes, systems and procedures while delivering high-quality customer service to employees. The Specialist will manage HRIS data and system administration, support reporting and audits, and partner with Payroll, HRBPs and other stakeholders to implement process improvements and system changes.Responsibilities Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and execute HR processes in line with governance standards. Support HRIS configuration, testing and deployment of small-to-medium scale changes across the system. Manage and administer HR Connect (Jira) including triaging requests, user administration, dashboards and training.Prepare company-wide, regular and ad hoc reports and contribute inputs to executive dashboards and external reporting. Partner with Payroll, Audit&Privacy and HRBPs to support employee lifecycle changes and audit requests. Create and maintain procedural documentation, resources and training materials; identify and recommend process improvements. Requirements Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 1-2 years of HRIS experience (Workday experience preferred).Experience with issue/ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow. Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Analytical mindset with attention to detail, organizational skills and a focus on process improvement. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and able to maintain confidentiality.
