The Butcher Shoppe is a custom packaged meats company located in the Toronto. Our meats are carefully selected for quality&consistency to achieve the highest standards of our customers. Daily, thousands of pounds of meat are processed and fulfilled by a team of butchers, who convert fresh meat to custom specifications. With hundreds of deliveries every day to customers across Ontario including hotels, casinos, event venues, restaurants and other foodservice outlets, the company manages a complex supply chain and distribution network. Over the past 40 years, we have grown steadily to meet the demands of the foodservice industry and now, the online consumer.
Position Overview Reporting to the Head of Administration, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the main point of contact between The Butcher Shoppe and our customers. The CSR will be a member of our Order Desk Team and will be responsible for taking customer orders, entering them into the system, and ensuring that orders are fulfilled accordingly. We are looking to add to our afternoon shift with the standard working days being from Sunday to Friday.
Key responsibilities
Providing best-in‑class customer service to customers through phone and email channels
Taking customer orders and enter them into the system
Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products
Managing incoming order flow to ensure orders are processed and fulfilled
Learning the specifics of the products to be able to answer customer questions
Working with an industry order management system (FDS)
Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams)
Strong listening and communication skills
Attention to detail allowing for orders to be entered and processed without mistakesExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills
