Reports To: Director, Logistics
Location: 2621 Gore Road, Shanty Bay
Job Purpose: The System Analyst will maintain the integrity, performance and efficiency of the WMS/TMS and Supply Chain systems. Helping ensure optimal operations and standardized configurations. Develop, support and perform a variety of complex and diversified analytics and reporting in support of Supply Chain operations. Identify opportunities for process and performance improvement, benchmark for best practices and lead associated projects from conception to implementation. Responsible for all Supply Chain system configuration including 3PL data exchange and process improvement. Participate in end user and new employee training.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate full potential of WMS/TMS and related systems to fully realize efficiencies within. Provide project log for monthly review containing suggestions regarding new processes that contribute to the efficiency of Supply Chain functions.
Identify and correct issues in WMS/TMS process, and WMS/ERP interface. Liaise with appropriate contacts to resolve issues quickly. Create and maintain log identifying issue and corrective action(s) taken.
Monitor system health and identify anomalous behavior.
Collect feedback from all Supply Chain departments on potential system improvements, or new requirements.
Implement and execute testing protocol for all projects and potential projects. Provide expected pros and cons to Supply Chain management for project evaluation.
Responsible for managing projects from conception to implementation. Where appropriate, provide guidance and feedback to project team members and ensure adherence to project timelines. Provide regular status updates to management.
Advance key performance indicators and operational efficiency reports. KPI's are developed in collaboration with the respective Supply Chain Manager and will be posted and communicated to associates on a daily / weekly basis.
Conduct analysis related to the performance of the Supply Chain Systems and assigned projects. Review data and investigate as necessary where results are not as expected. Provide data analysis and conclusions to management. Work collaboratively with management on determining appropriate corrective actions/ next steps.
Maintain existing SOPs, update living documents to reflect changes in process. Create new SOP's as required. Observe floor operations, streamline processes by removing redundancy, create training material, training schedule and training tracking log and direct training to associates as required.
Create and maintain reports identifying our deviation from industry standards and best practices. The goal is to be a benchmark for best in class L/C service facility. Track implementations to show positive or negative effect on operations.
Attend monthly meetings with Management to analyze and resolve everyday common problems reported by associates/management.
Report improvement and customization maintaining workflow.
Miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.
Education&Experience:
College Diploma in related discipline, or five years of Supply Chain experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in system administration, network administration and/or 5+ years of Supply Chain experience
CCLP (Certified Canadian Logistics Professional) or P. Log (Professional Logistician) designation preferred
Must be proficient in WMS/TMS Applications (SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Microsoft Dynamics or other WMS/TMS applications), in addition to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to function in a fast-paced multi-functional environment where priorities change regularly
Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to think independently while working with minimal supervision
Experience with writing scripts to automate operations
Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
Prior project management and/or leadership experience is a definite asset
