What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining
CIBC’s Application Operations-CAAS
team supporting the Openshift container platform enabling CIBC's digital transformation. You’ll be responsible for providing investigation and second level support on client issues, technical issues, system/web site outages and questions from all internal and external application by maintaining, prioritization and addressing to respective CIBC technology groups and vendors.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining infrastructure health and day‑to‑day operational activities, managing escalations and modifying established procedures/approaches to suit specific situations, including 24 x 7 support and coordination of recovery efforts.
To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on‑site full‑time. You will also have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1‑3 days per week on‑site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
Production Support– Investigate OCP/Kubernetes technical issues and prioritize based on severity, risk and/or strategic business needs. Design and implement solutions to prevent recurrence with the end goal of ensuring client satisfaction.
Partnership– Work as a regular liaison with business partners, technology partners, senior management team, internal and external clients and vendors. Ensure internal clients are well‑informed of service updates and environment changes.
Projects Delivery– Act as subject matter expert for new client onboarding as well as projects requiring enhancements to existing configuration. Regular communication with project managers and developers assessing requirements and planning production releases.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 5 years of experience in supporting Openshift or applications utilizing the Openshift platform. 2+ years experience supporting/deploying/configuring infrastructure resources in Azure. Experience using automated deployment methodologies and toolsets such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Git Actions, Argo CD. Comfortable using Linux CLI for network/connectivity troubleshooting, certificate management utilizing OpenSSL or Keytool, and HAProxy support. You have experience utilizing tools like Grafana to enhance observability and create alerts for system events. You have basic scripting skills and can enhance with AI to solve problems and work efficiently. It’s an asset if you have experience working with Redis or MongoDB NoSQL databases.
