Lighthouse Software Group is responsible for identifying, acquiring and operating vertical software businesses worldwide. In our continued growth, we seek ambitious individuals who want exposure to the entire mergers and acquisitions life cycle while making a tangible impact on building our acquisition pipeline.
We are seeking a results‑driven Senior Financial Analyst to help lead the next stage of growth for a software company in Valsoft’s portfolio. You will be an integral part of our operations and work closely with leadership to provide accurate financial analysis, forecasting and insights that guide strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial reporting: prepare and review financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets for each division.
Ensure all financial information is accurate, consistent and compliant with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
Participate in audit engagements and compliance requirements, including the IFRS transition.
Month‑end entries and allocations: perform GL reconciliations, journal entry booking and salary and department cost allocations.
Accruals and provisions: manage bonuses/commissions accruals and AFDA provisions for bad debts.
Payroll and tax reporting: prepare payroll reports and tax / transfer‑pricing entries.
Financial reconciliations: finalize month‑end entries, reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts.
P/L analysis and FS preparation: analyze the P/L statement and prepare balance sheet, income statement and cash‑flow statement.
MD result review and process improvements: review results with controller insights, improve processes and document financial procedures.
Conduct in‑depth financial analysis compared with budgeted figures and provide variance analysis.
Identify financial trends, opportunities and potential risks for informed management decisions.
Rolling/active forecast preparation: develop and maintain the annual budgeting process and update forecasts regularly.
KPI tracking: collaborate with department heads to gather relevant data and assumptions.
Cash‑flow reporting and analysis.
MBR deck preparation.
Churn reporting.
AR/AP oversight.
Financial integration during acquisition and system migration.
Tax/annual filing.
Accounting position papers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
Hands‑on experience with NetSuite ERP (transactional and reporting modules) is considered a plus.
Advanced Excel skills and proven data analytics capabilities (pivot tables, Power Query, data visualisation).
Proficiency in written and verbal English is essential.
