Position Overview Senior Financial Analyst

– The selected candidate will be based in Toronto and will have a hybrid work option.

CDEV is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join its high‑performing team of experienced professionals. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the AVP, Finance, and collaborate with various parties to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions andwill support CDEV’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities

Manage and support accounting operations of CDEV subsidiaries, including monthly and quarterly financial close processes, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger.

Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and PSAS on a quarterly and annual basis.

Prepare and maintain timely account reconciliations and expense analysis.

Manage the invoicing process to related parties including preparing and issuing quarterly interest invoices to borrowers and ensuring timely receipt of payment.

Liaise with Joint Auditors during the Interim review and Year‑end Audits.

Support the annual budgeting and planning process.

Coordinate with subsidiaries during critical intervals (quarter‑ends, year‑end, forecast, and budget periods) to compile essential data for financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, internal financial controls and procedures.

Assist with regulatory reporting requirements.

Other finance and administrative duties as required.

Key Skills and Attributes

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or similar field.

Designated CPA or in process of obtaining designation.

3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a national accounting firm and/or similar experience in industry.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Sound relationship management and interpersonal skills.

Strong time‑management, planning and organization skills.

Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast‑paced environment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting software.

Strong technical and analytical skills, good judgment.

Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting practices and procedures, financial principles and concepts.
