Senior Financial Analyst, Fp&A, Ajax

About the Company Our client is a publicly traded, multinational media company. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A who will be responsible for ownership across financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions. The successful candidate will partner closely with our corporate and business unit finance teams based in Toronto. This role will report to the Director, Group Planning and Analysis and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.Why Work Here Opportunity for career growth and progression

About the Opportunity Assist in the preparation of the Consolidated Annual Business Plan, coordinating inputs across business units and corporate functions

Play a key role in the preparation of Board presentations, including quarterly Actual vs Budget and Forecast packages, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and executive-ready presentation

Facilitate in administration of the Workday Adaptive Planning system, including system updates, user support, and process improvements

Partner with Shared Services cost center owners to manage performance against budget, providing proactive analysis and recommendations

Serve as a key analytical resource for the corporate finance team, delivering insights that support operational and strategic decision-making

Ad hoc reports from NetSuite for corporate finance team and business unit leaders as required

Play a key role in the preparation of financial models required for annual asset impairment testing

Drive detailed business analysis, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights, for senior management and the Board, as required

Prepare POs and expense reports in NetSuite as required

Ad hoc projects and tasks to support the Director, Group Planning and Analysis, with the ability to manage workstreams independently

About You 3+ years of FP&A and/or commercial finance experience OR experience in a Big 4 or mid-size audit firm

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required; CPA or CFA designation (or progress toward one) is an asset

Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of deliverables

Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a continuous improvement mindset ? Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear business insights and recommendations

Experience with Adaptive Planning and Office Connect is preferred
