The Opportunity RVS invites you to apply for a part‑time (approx. 0.5 FTE) Grade 8 Humanities teaching position starting August 27, 2026 at Discovery Trails Online School.

Discovery Trails Online School is located in the City of Airdrie and serves students from grades 1-9. For more information on the online school, please visit the RVS website: successful candidate must be proficient in online platforms (i.e. Google Classroom, Moodle, Zoom). This position will require the successful applicant to attend in‑person meetings and events.

Pre‑employment Requirements

Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.

Applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months; or a list of updated references of a current/recent supervisor on your application.

The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
