Piping Designer, Airdrie

Our client is a well-established Airdrie-based firm specializing in modular

oil and gas

processing facilities. They're seeking experienced

piping designers

to join their engineering team immediately. This is a hands‑on production role working within a fast‑paced, multi‑discipline environment alongside structural, process, and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities

Design and detail piping systems, layouts, and supports for

modular skid packages

using

CADWorx

Produce construction-ready deliverables including

isometrics ,

GAs ,

line lists , and

MTOs

Interpret and work from

P&ID s,

equipment layouts , and

process datasheets

Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines through the design lifecycle

Participate in

3D model reviews

and incorporate multi-discipline feedback

Check drawings

and provide technical direction to junior staff

Experience

Proficiency in

CADWorx

(3D modelling and 2D drawing production)

5+ years of piping design/drafting experience for intermediate; 8+ years for senior

Background in oil and gas, gas processing, heavy oil, modular fabrication, or industrial plant design

Solid understanding of piping codes, connection detailing, and skid fabrication requirements

Eligible to work in Canada; able to commute to Airdrie daily
